How we work

Did you know...

Grasses and trees are both able to absorb carbon out of the atmosphere. Trees retain it in their timber and grasses send it through to the soil through their leaf matter and roots. Both methods of sequestration have different qualities. More
CarbonLink operates as an 'aggregator' and a 'broker'.
We work directly with farmers to identify the properties across Australia that are adopting the farming practices which increase the levels of carbon in the soil. These include cell grazing, pasture cropping and zero til farming enterprises. The farmers most likely to be building the carbon content in their soil will be adopting the farming methods recommended by both RCS and the HRM practitioners.

We provide soil testing services to measure the extent of carbon being sequestered into the soil, using verified scientific modelling and testing procedures.

CarbonLink acts as an ‘aggregator’ to bring together packages of carbon from individual farmers into verifiable marketable parcels to enable them to be traded in the marketplace.

In addition, CarbonLink is a broker of carbon on the international carbon trading market, allowing individuals and businesses to offset their carbon footprint through the purchase of soil carbon that is verified, validated and registered with an internationally registered exchange.
