Most business is conducted using some form of technology which emits CO2 into the atmosphere – computers, on-site construction equipment, neon signs, electrical operating equipment, printing and so on. This is part of the cost of running a business. There are ways that we can reduce our consumption through replacement of equipment with power saving alternatives, activity planning, education and awareness. In addition, we can offset this usage by calculating its emissions and purchasing carbon credits from a farmer who can absorb the additional carbon into the ground and store it in the soil.
