Working with the Ecosystem

CarbonLink was launched on September 19th, 2007 to coincide with the launch of a new Australian trading platform for trading in the carbon and other environment markets. CarbonLink is a founding aggregator and broker with the Financial and Energy Exchange, FEX.

CarbonLink has been formed by educators, scientists and entrepreneurs to provide an opportunity for Australian farmers to sell the additional carbon that they sequester into their soil through changes in land management practice.

CarbonLink also provides an opportunity for the carbon emitters to soon purchase high quality carbon from a sustainable farming business which increases its absorption of carbon by working with the environment and the surrounding ecosystem rather than ‘locking up’ the land from productive usage while the carbon is being sequestered. It works as a win-win for the environment and the farmer.
